Officials break ground on the new Charlotte VA Health Care Center

Charlotte HCC

The Charlotte Veterans Affairs Health Care Center, scheduled to open in spring/summer 2016, will provide easier access to care for Veterans in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg areas and surrounding region.

The HCC will offer enhanced out-patient primary care and specialty services for an estimated 35,000 Veterans enrolled in the VA health care system.

The Charlotte Health Care Center was one of only seven HCC’s approved in 2010 for construction. The 295,000 net usable square feet planned for the facility makes it the largest new lease acquisition in the VA and larger than many medical centers.

The Charlotte Health Care Center, a six-story health care facility, will be located on a 35-acre site and will provide more than 20 different medical services to VA patients.

The Charlotte Veterans Affairs Health Care Center will have more than 1,900 parking spaces to ensure we can serve as many Veterans as possible.
