Construction begins for new Hospice Unit

The first phase of construction for a new Hospice unit at Salisbury VAMC began in December 2010.
The new 12 bed Hospice unit is being constructed adjacent to Building 42. The project is part of the first of three phases for the enhancement of our Community Living Center (CLC) into a Long Term Care Center of Excellence.
The project will include a new Main Street with various shops and activities inside Building 42 and also a new 6 bed Hoptel in the basement of Building 42.
Visitors to the Salisbury VA Medical Center should be aware that the roadway around Building 42 near the pond is permanently closed.
